First-response teams: why every facility needs one
In any facility, minutes pass before the ambulance arrives — and what happens in those minutes decides the outcome. A first-response team is a group of staff trained to act correctly until professionals take over.
- Set the number of responders by headcount, floor area, and shifts.
- Train them in first aid, CPR, and AED use.
- Place first-aid kits and AEDs in known locations.
- Keep a written response plan and clear emergency numbers.
- Run regular drills and renew certificates on time.
At , our Corporate Plex programs build these teams and give management a training record and an executive report.
